A2 Art & Architecture

From Collegiate Gothic to Beaux Arts, Impressionist to Cubists, Ann Arbor has it all without getting into a car!  As you stroll around Treetown, you’ll see many sites listed on the National and State Registers of Historic Places. Sites might include an English Gothic Revival Church designed and built by its members in the late 1800’s, a Romanesque style former church that’s now an architect firm, a Lombard Romanesque/Exotic Revival theater with Moorish columns and every spectacular building on campus designed by Albert Kahn. There are examples of Arts and Crafts, Art Deco, Renaissance Revival, Italian Renaissance, Greek Revival, English Gothic,  Romanesque, Italianate and Moderne.  Browse through over 19,000 works of art in the The University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA) and Ross School of Business. And get a rare opportunity to actually touch a famous piece of art on our Art & Architecture Tour.
